Guru temple, Thirukkadaiyur and Swamimalai

A trip was engaged shortly, after the Jupiter transit for all the signs. We planned for Alangudi Abathsahyeswarar Temple.

We reached Karur early morning from Tirupur; Google maps the advisor for routes helped in taking the right roads and directions towards Trichy, Tanjore, Alangudi.

We had breakfast before Alangudi, and we reached Abathsahyeswarar shrine around 11:00 AM the temple had four towers in different directions as entrance and was surrounded by small Pond in a square shape, Lotus grown with green leaves in the pond. Lord Shiva and Guru (Thakishnamoorthy) was the chief god. We finished with prayers, in between prayers we have been informed to have lunch provided as beckoning by the shrine. My mom requested to stay for beckoning, and it was a lengthy queue.

It ‘s nice to visit surrounding temples, which represents other sign planet-gods. Routes for other planet-gods are in the picture which was in the shrine.

Continued our trip towards Thirukkadaiyur via Kumbakonam and I requested, driver to have lunch in Kumbakonam. Suddenly there was rain in the journey, which made us chill. I still remember Amritaghateswarar Abhirami Temple Thirukkadaiyur; shrine glow is still same when I visited ten years back. Surprisingly we saw a small elephant taken for the prayers by his Mahout.

Thirukkadaiyur

Our trip continued after 5:00 PM towards Swamimalai another destination where Lord Muruga is present. We took state highways from Thirukkadaiyur without touching Kumbakonam. Swamimalai was clean and peaceful after worship we took SH 22 and NH81 via Kallanai Dam, the road was not safe after crossing the dam for about 30 ~ 40 KM’s. We reached Trichy and in a roadside Dhaba dinner was finished. Finally reached our home by 1:00 AM.
